Hi.

Welcome to my blog.

Dumbarnie

I played this course in September 2023. It has a lovely Clubhouse, the meet and greet were excellent, and it has a great practice area. BUT, sorry, did not like the starter, nor the course, nor the forecaddies we had!

I am sure our experience was unusual, but the starter was quite rude with us, and we gave up on our caddies after about 4 holes. They were nice enough guys, just hopeless sat reading greeens, and they were supposed to be the best in the area, according to the starter. They give you a dram at the start ion your round; made us wonder if the starter had been joining in with too many groups the day we played?

The course reminded us a bit of Streamsong; lots of dirt has been moved to create this us style course, and the turf is not like links grass. The course is good, don’t get me wrong, it’s just not great and seems way over priced for what it is.

At least we had a beautiful day to play. I won’t be hurrying back any time soon though. You are spoiled for choice in the Kingdom of Fife, and this would not make the top 10.
