The “other” course in North Berwick. Not as well known perhaps as The West Links, but a fun course with spectacular views of the Bass Rock. Here’s a link to the Club’s website: https://www.glengolfclub.co.uk. It’s a James Baird designed course with the 18 holes completed in 1906.
The course never gets the visibility of The West Links, but is fun to play with as you can see some really spectacular views. It’s got an amazing opening hole that you need your mountain boots on to scale, and your heart beat will definitely be up a few by the time you get to the putting surface. 18 plays the opposite way, from a very elevated tee back down to the Clubhouse area. There are a couple of really good holes out on the course; in particular, the stretch 12-13-14 are really fun to play. 13 is a better hole than the more famous par 3 at Pebble in my humble opinion.
If you have some extra time, The Glen is well worth a visit. It’s never going to be in the same league as The West Links, but it’s a fun track to play with some really amazing views. The Clubhouse is nice, and the staff are very welcoming and friendly.
